IIT Bombay BTech 

IIT Bombay BTech program is ranked 3rd in the NIRF list. The program has a total intake of 910 seats. Graduates with  degrees receive an average package of INR 20 LPA. However, students from CSE and Aerospace branches receive packages up to INR 60 LPA. As per the 2021 placements, the placement rate of the B.Tech program is 87.15%. Out of the 537 students, a total of 468 students got placement in the hiring process.

IIT Bombay MTech 

IIT Bombay offers an MTech program in full-time as well as part-time mode. The basic criteria of admission to the program is through GATE exam scores. However, the institute also gives direct admission to students who don't appear for the GATE exam. Candidates with 8.0 CGPA in the BTech degree from an IIT are given direct admission to the MTech program. Check 

The part-time MTech degree at IIT Bombay is for working professionals. Candidates with 2-years of work experience are eligible to apply for the program. The total duration of the program is 3-years. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has a dedicated and highly functional Placement Cell that ensures that all students get an opportunity to get placed at renowned companies and organizations at the national and international levels. For the placement drive 2021-22, IIT Bombay witnessed an all-time high record of placements offers accepted. IIT Bombay Summer Internship Placements

The institute completed its 2021 summer internship placement drive, 940 internships were received. Computer Science Engineering students received the highest number of internship opportunities. Recruiters also offered 177 PPOs out of which 149 were accepted.

IIT Bombay Scholarship 

To lessen the financial burden of students, IIT Bombay offers a variety of financial assistance and scholarships. These scholarships are awarded on merit and need-basis under govt., private, and institute provisioned schemes. Some of the popular scholarships at IITB are mentioned below.

  • Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: The scholarships are awarded to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG students whose annual parental income is less than 5 lakhs.   • Free Messing Facilities for SC/ST: All the SC/ST students whose annual income is less than 5 lakhs are eligible to avail the facilities of free messing. The UG students are offered the following facilities :

IITBombayX is an online platform of IITB that offers some important and popular Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to global participants. IIT Bombay MOOCs has been launched in collaboration with edX which is a non-profit initiative taken by Harvard and MIT.
