The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has unveiled the examination timetable for Class 10 in 2024. Commencing on February 16, the Class 10 Higher School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2024 examinations will initiate with the English paper in the morning session. These SEBA Class 10 matric exams will run until March 4. The HSLC 2024 exams are scheduled for two shifts, both morning and afternoon. In addition to announcing the theoretical exam dates for Class 10 matric exams in 2024, the Assam board has also disclosed the practical exam dates. The practical exams for Class 10 HSLC 2024 are slated to commence on February 2. The first day of the practical exams for Class 10 will include computer science, music, dance, weaving and textile design, and commerce papers in the morning session, followed by wood craft, home science, and fine art in the afternoon session.
The duration of the theory papers for Assam board Class 10 matric exams will typically be three hours. The morning session will commence at 9 am and conclude at 12 noon, while the afternoon session will be held from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Major changes in the Assam HSLC Exam 2024
The Board has also introduced some changes in the SEBA Class 10th board exam to be held in 2024. As per the board notice pdf, it has been stated that, "OMR sheet will be introduced for answering objective type questions (50% of total marks) carrying 1 mark each in case of core subjects, i.e., English (C1), General Mathematics (C2), General Science (C3) and Social Science (C4). The OMR will be personalized therefore there will be one OMR sheet in the name of a particular candidate.
