Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, MPBSE is a school education board in Madhya Pradesh, India. The MPBSE is a government body responsible for managing the administrative, policy-related, cognitive and intellectual direction of the state’s higher educational system. The board supervises and regulates the system of higher education in Madhya Pradesh State. The Madhya Pradesh Legislature, in the 16 years of the Republic of India, enacted an Act for the establishment of a Board to improve Secondary Education in Madhya Pradesh and other ancillary matters. In 1965 this independent body was established under The Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Act 1965. The MP Board prescribes the syllabus, for students from class 11th to class 12th, for schools associated with it & exams whose scores are required to gain admission in higher study schools. It handles three board examinations the High School Certificate Examination for 10th Class, Middle School Exam for Standard 8th and the Higher Secondary Certificate Exam for 12th Class, which is a school leaving the exam.
