With the upcoming general election in India expected to be held between April to May 2024, it is highly likely that the Central Board of Secondary Examinations (CBSE) will reschedule its Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations to conclude by the end of March 2024. This means that the CBSE board exam 2024 is anticipated to start in the first week of February 2024 instead of the previously announced date of February 15, 2024.
Additionally, the JEE Main Exam Date 2024 for Class 12 students has been declared, with Session 2 commencing on April 1, 2024. To avoid any scheduling conflicts, the board may plan to wrap up the exams for Science stream students by March, while Arts/Commerce/Vocational papers are likely to be scheduled after April 1.
In the previous 17th Lok Sabha elections in 2019, the CBSE board scheduled its last paper for Class 12 on April 3 and for Class 10 on March 29 to prevent any clashes. A similar scheduling approach is expected to be adopted this year as well.
CBSE Exam Date 2024: Expected Schedule

Students are advised to plan their study routines with the potential rescheduling in mind, ensuring that any exam prep adjustments do not significantly impact their board exam preparations. Allocating the final two weeks for additional revision is recommended, with preparation ideally concluded by the end of January.
