West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has extended the timing of the exam of 12th class due to the inclement weather situations in the state since yesterday. It has been raining regularly since yesterday in the state. Understanding that the weather may create difficulties for students, the committee has extended the time. The time to enter the exam has been extended till 9:45 am and if required, students would be provided with an extension of time from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm. Official notification regarding the same has also been issued on the official website.

“All the District Inspector of Schools of the Districts are requested to inform the Centre Committee and the Joint Conveners that due to heavy rainfall candidates will be allowed to enter their Venues between 9:30 am to 9:45 am,” read the official announcement. After completion of the routine rules, if required, examination time may be extended up to 1:30 pm instead of 1:15 pm in the affected areas for today only, mentioned the official information. Kolkata is suffering from the heavy rainfall from Thursday onwards. Not only the capital but many areas of the states are also witnessing this unpleasant weather. Many cities of the states are being waterlogged due to heavy rainfall for the past two days.
The WBCHSE board has been kind to the students as the board changed the timing for the examination. It’s supposed to be till 1.15 but now it has been extended to 1.30 pm. Candidates are allowed to reach the examination centre until 9.45.
