Latest news for the students who are going to appear for 12th class board exams from Tamil Nadu board. The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has modified the exam pattern for the upcoming 12th class board exams. The updates have been made for each subject. Prior, in Section A, the TN board use to ask the MCQs. But now, these multiple choice questions will be replaced with the Fill in the blanks, assertion-reason, match the following and related questions. All these questions will be of one mark.
In 2019, the Directorate of Government Examinations has issued the model test papers. It was released on the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT). But, in the model papers, there were no updates mentioned. The questions were available in the last-year-old paper format.
The candidates are anxious and worried about the board examinations. It may cause an adverse effect on the candidate’s results. The TN board had already changed the marks each subject from 200 to 100. Also, the time duration for the board examinations has been reduced by 30 minutes.
The Tamil Nadu Board 12th Time Table 2019 was released on December 21, 2019. The board examinations for 12th class will be held from March 01, 2019. The examinations will have stayed for 19 days. The last date of the board exams is March 19, 2019. Tamil Nadu HSC Time Table 2019 is available for the students who have opted the old syllabus and the new syllabus. The first exam will be of Language while the last examinations will be for Botany, History, Business Maths, Biology, Office Management, and Accountancy & Auditing.
For 10th class, the TN board has not made any modifications in the paper pattern. The board will manage the exams for the 10th class from March 14 to 29, 2019. So, the Tamil Nadu board exams for 10th class will be held for 15 days. The first or last exams will be for Language Paper 1 and Social Science respectively.
For 10th and 12th class, the board has also suggested the result declaration date. The TN board Result 2019 will be announced on April 29 for SSLC and April 19 for HSC respectively.
The Directorate of Government Examinations came into being in the year 1911. Then it became an individual directorate in the year 1975. The TN board had managed the first examination for the SSLC standard in the year 1911. The DGE has 7 regional offices across the state. It manages the board examinations thrice a year. The first exam in April/May, the second in June/July and the third in September/October. After the completion of the examinations, the board publishes the result.
