The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination is likely to announce the results of 12 Class examinations in the second week of June. The HS result was earlier decided to declare in May, but due to the Lok Sabha elections, the HS results will be declared in the second week of June. The students who give the examinations can download the result from the FastResult website.“The board will try to publish the results of 12th Class examinations before June 15 keeping in mind the admission process in different varsities,” the official added.

This year, a total of 12 students were caught with mobile during the board exams, following which their whole examinations were cancelled. ‘Apart from some anomalies, the exams were conducted successfully all over the state. Incidents of mass cheating or paper leak were not reported from any centre,” said Mahua Das President of WBCHSE.
This year, around 8.05 lakh candidates had appeared in the HS examinations that were concluded on March 13, 2019. A total of 83.75% of students cleared the Higher Secondary examination successfully previous year that was declared on June 8, 2018. Granthan Sengupta from Jalpaiguri Zilla School topped the examination scoring 496 marks out of 500 (99.2%) to become the first student from the Arts stream to top the examination in five years.
