The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared the Maharashtra HSC Result 2019 today. Over 14.21 lakh students registered for the HSC exams which were conducted from February 21 to March 20, 2019. The passing percentage has dropped nearly 3% with 85.88 for this year as against 88.41% from last year. Among districts, Nagpur has got the worse while Konkan has performed the best with 93.30%. The pass percentage of Pune district is 87.80%.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will declare the Maharashtra HSC Result 2019 on May 28, as per sources. The Maharashtra board will activate the HSC result link at 1 pm, however, the result will be declared at around 11:00 AM at a press conference. A total of 14,91,306 students registered for the exam, out of which 6,48,151 are girls and 8,42,919 are boys. Maharashtra Board Higher Secondary Certificate examinations were conducted from February 21 to March 20, 2019. Last year in the Maharashtra HSC result, the passing percentage for 14,18,645 students was 88.41%. This was a decline from Maharashtra HSC Result 2017. Girls students in 2018 had fared better than boys with 92.36% pass percentage against 85.23% for boys.

The board appointed 30,000 to 40,000 teachers to work as an invigilator. The Maharashtra board also adopted a slew of measures to curb cheating in the board examination including CCTV monitoring, increasing the number of invigilators and impose section 144 on the day of the examination etc.
Pass Percentage for Maharashtra HSC Result
The Maharashtra Board in 2014 had made a slight change in the passing percentage of students of HSC and SSC examinations. While the aggregate marks to be considered as pass should be 35% but the minimum marks required in theory examination is lowered to 20%.
This year, a total of 2,957 exam centres were set up across the state of Maharashtra where 5,69,476 students from science stream, 3,81,446 from commerce, 4,82,372 from humanities and 58,012 from vocational studies took the examination. For the first time, applications form for the examination were accepted online through Saral portal this year. Question paper pattern has been changed this year.
