• Revise Practical notes (including Theory Notes)

• Imagine the diagram of the experiment & draw it roughly

• Experiments are develop to prove the Physics principle. Therefore, remember the basic principles behind performing the particular experiment.

• Methodology and Principle are the frequently asked questions during viva.

• Don’t be nervous at the time of experiment & write the important steps before starting the practical (you can also draw a flowchart)

• In case of any doubt, consult with the teacher or lab attendant.

2. Now instead of three passages, there will only be two passages in section A (Reading).

3. The typology of questions has also been changed.

4. Of the two passages, there would be 5 MCQs, 9 very short answer type questions, and 3 short answer type questions from passage one.

5. There will be 2 long answer type questions related to passage two.

6. The total number of questions has been reduced from 24 to 19 in case of section A.

7. Total marks attributed to section A is 30 marks.

8. Total number of questions in the question paper has also been reduced from 40 to 35.

CBSE has also made the revised marking scheme and corresponding sample paper available for English (core) on the official website.

CBSE English (Core) question paper to be time friendly:-

The changes to the exam pattern are in favor of students who often find the English question paper lengthy and are unable to finish the paper in designated time.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper 2018: Analysis and Review

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper 2018: Analysis and Review

The students of CBSE Class 10 appeared for their Science paper today, March 22, under the ongoing Board Examination 2018. The paper was conducted from 10:30AM to 1:30PM.

After the exam got over, we talked to a few students of class 10 who wrote their Social Science board paper toady.

We also connected to the subject teachers to discuss about the difficulty level and other important aspects of the CBSE Class 10 Social Science Question Paper 2018.

A general feedback from students and teachers about the question Paper is given below:

Difficulty level of the question paper was Medium

All the questions in the paper were from the syllabus

Easy as compared to the last year’s paper

No questions repeated from the last year’s paper

Map based questions were easy

Paper was not time consuming

Average marks expected by students: 70 Marks

Format of the CBSE Class 10 Social Science Board Paper 2018

This year with the reintroduction of the mandatory board exams in class 10, a different format is being followed in board question papers. Class 10 Social Science question paper also had a different format as compared to that of the previous years’ papers.

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science Question Paper Pattern was completely according to the latest sample paper released by the CBSE board.

The CBSE class 10 Social Science board questions paper format was as follows:

The question paper consisted of total 26 questions carrying different weightage as mentioned below:

Type of Questions

Questions

Marks per question

Very Short Answer Type

1-7

1

26(A)

2

Map Questions (Geography)

26(B)

All questions were compulsory however some questions were provided with internal choices to select from.

Comparison with the previous years’ question paper pattern

As compared to the question paper format followed in the previous’ years, this year class 10 Social Science Question Paper had following changes:

  • Number of questions reduced to 26 (previously it was 30)
  • Total marks 80 ( previously it was 90)

Comparison with the latest CBSE sample paper

The question paper pattern followed in CBSE Class 10 Social Science Exam 2018 was almost similar to the latest sample paper released by the board. Only the questions based on map were given in a different format.

  • In CBSE Class 10 Social Science Sample Paper 2018, the three were three map based questions but in CBSE Class 10 Social Science Board Paper 2018 there was only one map based question (Q. No. 26) divided into sup-part.
  • Question number 26 was divided into two parts 26(A) and 26(B) with both being the map based questions from History and Geography respectively.

However, the type of questions and the division of marks, all were same as described in the CBSE Class 10 Social Science Sample Paper 2018.
