The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) declared the HSLC Class 10 Result 2026 on April 10, 2026. This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 65.62%. Out of 4,29,249 students who appeared, a total of 2,81,701 have been declared passed — an improvement over last year's 63.98%.

Students who are dissatisfied with their results and wish to have their marks verified may apply for the re-evaluation of their answer scripts. Candidates will have the facility to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer scripts, OMR sheets, and the official answer keys. Applications must be submitted through the designated online portal, which will become operational on April 13.
Regarding the Assam HSLC Compartment Examination, the Board has announced that a compartment examination will be conducted by SEBA in May 2026 for students who have not passed in all subjects. The online application portal for this examination will be made available shortly.

Key Things to Know About Re-checking
- Re-checking covers re-totaling of marks, checking for unvalued answers, and correcting entry errors — it's not a full re-evaluation.
- If there's any change in marks, it'll be updated in the final result.
- Any errors in your Marks-cum-Certificate (other than marks) must be reported to your school principal within 30 days of the result declaration.
Compartment Exam 2026 — Who Can Apply?
Students who have not been able to pass all subjects may still get another opportunity. SEBA has announced that the compartment examination will be held in May 2026. The online application portal will be made available soon.
To be eligible, a student must:
- Have failed in a maximum of three subjects
- Have secured at least 170 marks in aggregate
Eligible students can appear in selected subjects, giving them a fair chance to clear Class 10 without repeating the entire year.
