CBSE Board Exams 2024: Class 10 and 12 Private Candidate Form Submission Starts on September 12

The Central Board of Senior Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the registration process for Class 10 private students on September 12. Aspirants can submit their online applications through the official website, cbse.gov.in.

Students can complete their forms without the online fee until October 11. The registration window will officially close on October 19. However, students submitting their applications from October 12 to 19 will be required to pay an additional late fee of Rs 2,000.

Eligibility for Class 10 CBSE Private Candidate Form 2024:

Candidates who are eligible to apply for the examination include:

  • Students declared essential repeat candidates in the 2023-24 examination.
  • Candidates placed in the compartment in the board's main examination in 2023.
  • Candidates placed in the compartment in the first attempt in August 2023.
  • Candidates declared fail in the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
  • Graduates of 2023 aiming to improve their performance in one or more subjects.
  • Graduates of 2022 and 2023 looking to appear in an additional subject.
  • Female candidates who are bona fide residents of Delhi.
  • Physically handicapped candidates who are residents of Delhi and meet the age criteria for appearing in Class 10.

The CBSE has stated that female students from Delhi and physically handicapped candidates will have their last opportunity to appear in the CBSE Class 10 private examination in 2024. Following the examination, this scheme will be discontinued. Female students from Delhi must provide their bona fide certificate, while physically handicapped students must upload a medical certificate.

CBSE Exam 2024: Fee Structure

For candidates appearing in five CBSE Class 10 or 12 examinations for private students, the registration fee is Rs 1,500. Candidates from Nepal are also subject to the same fee. However, students taking the examination in other countries will be charged Rs 10,000. Indian students will need to pay Rs 300 for each additional subject, while Nepalese and international students will be charged Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively.

The fee structure for compartment examinations remains the same for additional subjects. For practical tests, Indian and Nepalese students will pay Rs 150 per subject, while candidates from other countries will pay Rs 350 per subject.
