The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has postponed the bi-annual examination 2025 for class 10 and 11. These exams were earlier scheduled to begin from August 18, 2025, but have now been postponed. The board will announce the new dates soon.
The board has issued a notice on its official website jkbose.nic.in. It clearly states that this decision has been taken in view of adverse weather and recent cloudburst incidents in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The notification reads: "New exam dates will be announced separately. All center superintendents and station house officers (SHOs) should be informed immediately so that the examination process can proceed smoothly."
Reason for Postponement of Exam
Recent cloudburst and bad weather in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. In view of the heavy damage and conditions in the affected areas, especially in Kathua district, the safety of the students was considered paramount. For this reason, the board has decided to postpone the examinations.
