The board recorded a pass percentage of 97.24 percent, slightly lower than last year's 97.54 percent. Like last year, girls outperformed boys by securing 98.11 per cent pass percentage, while boys achieved 96.47 per cent. A total of 394 students failed in the Class 10 exam, which is 0.14 percent of the total students.
Aditi from Ludhiana is a PSEB Class 10 topper, scoring 100 percent marks. Alisha Sharma of Ludhiana and Karmanpreet Kaur of Amritsar stood second in the state with 99.23 percent marks.
- Pass percentage data shows trends among candidates. Out of 281,098 candidates, 273,348 passed, giving a success rate of 97.24%.
- Among women, 132,642 out of 135,123 passed, the pass percentage was 98.11%. For men, 148,445 out of 153,651 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 96.47%.
- Among transgender candidates, 10 out of 11 passed, taking the pass percentage to 90.91%. In urban areas, 97,586 out of 101,009 candidates passed, taking the pass percentage to 96.60%.
- In rural areas, 183,512 out of 187,590 candidates were successful, showing a pass percentage of 97.58%. In government schools, 186,908 out of 190,325 candidates passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 97.32%.
- Non-government schools demonstrated a pass percentage of 98.01%, with 73,896 out of 75,336 candidates achieving the success. In aided schools, 20,294 out of 21,661 candidates passed, giving a pass percentage of 93.71%.
- Govt. Schools : In the recent examination, a total of 186,908 candidates from government schools participated. Among them, an impressive 181,908 candidates successfully passed, reflecting a commendable pass rate of 97.32%. This high percentage underscores the dedication and efforts of both the students and educators within the government school system.
- Pass Percentage of Aided Schools : The pass percentage of candidates studying in aided schools in the recent examination was 93.71%, indicating an adequate rate of success. Out of a total of 20,294 candidates enrolled in the aided schools, an impressive 19,017 students qualified the assessment.
PSEB 10th Result : Girls outperform Boys in Matric Result
Like last year, girls have outperformed boys by scoring a pass percentage of 98.11% while boys achieved a percentage of 96.47% This year, a total of 2,81,098 students appeared for matric exams, and 2,73,348 passed.
Punjab 10th Result : Private Schools Perform Better than Government Schools
This time 186908 students took the exam from government schools, out of which 181908 students passed, making the passing percentage 97.32%. Out of a total of 73896 students from private schools, 72423 passed, taking the pass percentage to 98.01%. A total of 20294 appeared and 19017 students passed in the aided schools, making the passing percentage 93.71%.

District-wise Amritsar has been identified as the best performing district with 99.24% pass percentage while Fatehgarh Sahib has the lowest pass percentage (94.51%).
PSEB Class 10 result 2023: Overview of last year's performance
The Punjab School Education Board released the PSEB 10th Result for the academic year 2023 on May 26, 2023. Students who had appeared for the Punjab Class 10 exams could access and download their results from the official website, pseb.ac.in, starting from May 27, 8 AM onwards. Gagandeep Kaur, a student from Sant Mohan Das Memorial Sr Secondary School in Faridkot, secured the top position in the PSEB 10th exams for the year 2023, achieving a perfect score of 650/650 marks.
