The Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination), 2026 datesheet has been released by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on the official website of WBBSE, wbbse.wb.gov.in.

As per the timetable, the Class 10 board exams will begin on February 6, 2026, and end on February 12, 2026. Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali will be the first languages covered in the Madhyamik examination. Optional subjects will be conducted at the end.
The WBBSE Class 10th exam 2026 will be conducted in a single shift, from 10.45 am to 2 pm, on a single paper each day. Applicants will have only fifteen minutes to go through the question papers.
Two hours and forty-five minutes have been allotted for the Computer Applications theoretical exam. Each school will conduct its own practical exam on this subject. The duration of the theoretical exam for vocational subjects is one hour and forty-five minutes.
Sector Skill Councils or specific schools will conduct practical exams for these subjects. Dates for work education, social service and physical education will be announced later.

WBBSE Class 10th Exam 2026: Practical & Special Subject Details
The board has also shared important information about the practical and special subject exams. For subjects like sewing and needle work, the exam will last for four hours and fifteen minutes.
Music (both vocal and instrumental) theory papers will last for two hours and fifteen minutes. The venue and time for the music practical to be held only in Kolkata will be notified separately.
The computer application theory exam will be two hours and forty-five minutes long. Its practical component will be conducted individually by the respective schools.
Similarly, the theory papers of vocational subjects will be of one hour and forty-five minutes duration, with practicals to be conducted by the Sector Skill Council or the respective schools.
