Uttarakhand Board Exam Class 10, 12 Postpones Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

After all state and central boards, the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) have postponed the class 10, 12 examinations due to social distancing measures imposed amidst coronavirus outbreak. The state education board secretary Meenakshi Sundaram said that the class 10 and 12 board examinations scheduled on March 23, 24 and 25 stands postponed till further notice.

Over 1.4 lakh students appeared in the class 10 exam while over 1.35 students attempted class 12 board exams. The examinations are scheduled to be concluded on March 25, 2020.

Early this week, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have also postponed the class 10, 12 board examination and evaluation process till March 31. The National Testing Agency has also put on hold the JEE Main that was scheduled to begin from April 5.

As the examinations and evaluation process were put on hold, the declaration of result will be delayed, as per the official. Last year, the result was declared on May 30. A total of 74.57 per cent students cleared the class 10 examination, while, around 73 per cent cleared the class 12 examinations.

From CBSE, Maharashtra Board to other state boards, here is a look at what all exams have been postponed, who all have released the revised schedule and when are the results expected.

The coronavirus pandemic has led to postponement of most of the state and both central board exams. A few boards including West Bengal, Karnataka among others have decided to go ahead with their schedule. Some boards have also announced the revised exam dates of the pending class 10 or class 12 exams.

If you are one among the lakhs of students appearing for the boards, here is a look at what each board is doing, their latest announcements and other details –

Punjab Board PSEB: The Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) has announced the revised dates of the exams it had postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. The two class 5 exams, which remain pending, will be held on April 1 (Hindi/Urdu) and April 3 (maths). The pending exams for class 10 will be held from April 3 to 23 and class 12 will be held from April 3 to 18.

Rajasthan Board BSER: The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) has postponed class 10 and 12 board exams 2020 till further notice. There is no timeline as to when the new dates will be announced.

CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) postponed Board examinations scheduled from March 19 to March 31 on the orders of HRD Ministry. The revised dates will be announced post March 31.

CISCE: After saying that the exams will be conducted as per schedule, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has postponed ICSE (class 10), ISC (class 12) examinations scheduled to end on March 31. These exams are expected to be held by second week of April, however, official dates will be announced on March 31 after assessing situation.

Meanwhile, the board has also asked its teachers and evaluators to check the answer scripts from home. A detailed procedure had been shared by the board to ensure it is carried out effectively.

UP Board UPMSP: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) had conducted its exams amid initial stages of coronavirus outbreak in India. The evaluation process for the UP Board exams has been affected. The evaluation process is postponed till April 2, this is expected to delay the UP Board result.

Telanagana SSC: The Directorate of Government Examination to postpone SSC exams. It is likely that the class 10 or SSC exams will be conducted from March 31 to April 6, however, the final decision will be announced on March 30. As per the earlier schedule, the Telangana SSC exams were to be conducted till April 6.

Maharashtra Board: After facing a lot of criticism, the Maharashtra Board has now decided to postpone the last SSC exam which was scheduled to be held on March 23. Earlier, class 10 exams are going as per schedule. Admission to PUC or college is on the basis of SSC score and hence the exam is deemed important. As many as 17,6500 students from nine centres in the state were to appear for the remaining two papers on Saturday and Monday. While the exam on Saturday was held as per schedule, the one on Monday has been postponed.

West Bengal Board: WBCHSE has asked the examiners to “take extra precaution with answer scripts of HS exam 2020 during transit to and from the head examiners’ place. After saying that since “only four papers are left” hence the exams will be held as per schedule, state Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has on March 21 announced to postpone the exams and new dates will be released after April 15.

Kerala Board: The Kerala Secondary education Board had allowed students to carry sanitisers and masks in the exam halls, however, since the further spread of the virus, the board has decided to reschedule the ongoing SSLC exams. Now the exams will be held in April, the dates are yet to be declared.

Karnataka KSEEB SSLC: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) will conduct the SSLC examinations as scheduled from March 29. The board said that all precautions have been adopted and hence the exams will not be an aid in transmission on coronavirus.

Goa Board: The Goa Secondary and Higher Secondary Board of Examination has announced to postpone the HSSC exams from March 21 onward further. The SSC exams, scheduled to be held from April 2, have also been discontinued till further notice. The board has also cancelled the assessment camp of HSSC at Panjim and Margoa.

JAC 9th Results 2020: झारखंड एकेडमिक काउंसिल (जेएसी) ने JAC 9th result 2020 के नतीजे आज घोषित नहीं होंगे। इसके अलावा एक सप्ताह तक नतीजे घोषित होने की कोई उम्मीद नहीं है। सूत्रों से यह जानकारी मिली है।

आपको बता दें कि कोरोना वायरस के संक्रमण के चलते स्कूल और यूनिवर्सिटी बंद किए गए हैं। ऐसे में नतीजे जारी नहीं होंगे। इससे पहले कई मीडिया सूत्रों से खबर आई थी कि नतीजे आज घोषित होंगे।  आपको बता दें कि झारखंड बोर्ड की तरफ से नतीजों के बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं दी गई है।   

बताया जा रहा है कि झारखंड बोर्ड 9वीं की परीक्षा में 4 लाख स्टूडेंट्स शामिल हुए थे। JAC 9th result 2020 को अपने रोल कोड व रोल नंबर के जरिए चेक किया जा सकता है। परीक्षाएं फरवरी माह में आयोजित की गई थीं।

Punjab Board 5th, 10th and 12th Revised Exam Schedule Released

As per the release issued by the PSEB, the pending board exams for classes 5, 10 and 12 will now be held April 1 onwards.

A day after postponing the pending board exams as a precautionary measure due to Covid-19 outbreak, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced the revised schedule on Friday. As per the release issued by the PSEB, the board exams for classes 5, 10 and 12 will now be held April 1 onwards. The two class 5 exams, which remain pending, will be held on April 1 (Hindi/Urdu) and April 3 (maths).

The pending exams for class 10 will be held from April 3 to 23. For class 10, all exams are pending except Punjabi (A) which was held on March 17. The pending exams for class 12 will be held from April 3 to 18 which includes physical education and sports, home science, maths, economics, music (tabla), fundamentals of e-business, computer science, political science, physics, business studies, geography and history. (as per stream).

JR Mehrok, controller (examination), PSEB, informed that students can check detailed fresh date-sheets for pending examinations on the board website, pseb.ac.in. Exams for class 10 and 12 will be held at the external centres as allotted earlier. He added that a revised date sheet for pending practical exams will be announced later as the situation unfolds. The written board exams for class 8 have concluded, while the practicals are pending.

In the earlier directives for the Punjab schools, the government had ordered holidays only for children till March 31 and staff, including teachers, were still reporting for administrative work and evaluation of answer sheets.

In the written orders issued by the PSEB, teachers have been allowed to take answer sheets for classes 5 and 8 with them and evaluate them at their homes. With the state government announcing the ban on public transport from Saturday, teachers reporting from villages expressed that the move came as a relief.

Goa Board Exams Postponed for Class 9th to 12th Due to Coronavirus

All examinations for standard 9th to 12th, including the board examinations, have been postponed indefinitely in Goa in view of the coronavirus outbreak, the state Education Department announced on Friday.

Education Director Vandana Rao said in a circular that the exams were being postponed till further orders.

"In view of the spread of Covid-19 in the country...all examinations from classes IX to XII scheduled from March 21 onwards are postponed till further orders. This includes exams for Class X and XII," she said.

The government has already canceled the exams up to standard 8th, and decided to promote students to the next class without exam.

The coastal state has not recorded any confirmed coronavirus case yet.

Kerala Board SSLC, Plus Two, University Exams Postpones Due To Coronavirus

To contain the spread of coronavirus, the Kerala government decided to postpone the ongoing Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and plus two examinations. The SSLC, plus two exams were to conclude on March 26, while the vocational higher secondary examination was scheduled to conclude on March 27, 2020.

Along with the ongoing board examinations, government has also decided to postpone university and state level examinations. This decision was reportedly taken after a high level meeting with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The state has till now 28 active cases of coronavirus, with 31,000 people under observation. The schools, educational institutions will remain close till March 31, 2020.

Many states, including Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Chhattisgarh have deferred their board class 10, 12, and state level examinations. This week, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have also postponed the class 10, 12 board examination and evaluation process till March 31. The National Testing Agency has also put on hold the JEE Main scheduled to begin from April 5.

 

AP SSC (10th) Board Exams to be Held as Per Schedule amid ‘social distancing’ in Exam halls

The board in an official notification informed that the students will be made to sit at least one meter away to ensure social distancing, hence safety during the board exam.

While most of the sate boards and both the central boards have postponed their exams and evaluation process amid the outbreak of coronavirus in India, the Andra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (BSEAP) has decided to go ahead with the SSC or class 10 examinations as per the schedule. These exams, however, will not be without precautions.

The board in an official notification informed that the students will be made to sit at least one meter away to ensure social distancing. Since coronavirus can spread through community and human transfer, wearing masks, avoiding gathering and physical contact were among the precautionary measures suggested by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Over 6 lakh students are expected appear for the AP SSC exam.

The exams were to be held on March 23 which were postponed to be begin from March 31. Now, the BSEAP has decided to go ahead with the revised schedule, as per which, the AP SSC exams will be held in single session from 9:30 am to 12:45 am till April 17. Most of the schools and colleges have been shutdown till March 31.

Telangana SSC Exams Postponed Due to Coronavirus

While tomorrow's exam will be conducted as per schedule, rest of the SSC papers are likely to be conducted from March 31 to April 6. The final decision on new dates will be announced on March 30.

The CJ bench of Telangana High Court has ordered the Directorate of Government Examination to postpone SSC exams after conducting tomorrow’s paper. The Telangana SSC which were scheduled to be held from March 23 to March 30 has been postponed. The matter is adjourned to be heard on March 30 when the exam dates will be considered after reviewing the coronavirus outbreak.

It is likely that the class 10 or SSC exams will be conducted from March 31 to April 6, however, the final decision will be announced on March 30. The language paper — to be held tomorrow — will be conducted as per the schedule. As per the earlier schedule, the Telangana SSC exams were to be conducted till April 6.

Amid coronavirus outbreak in India several state and central boards have postponed their exams and evaluation process, however, the AP SSC exams will be held as per schedule from March 30. During these exams, announced BSEAP, students will be made to sit at least one metre away.

 

Rajasthan Board RBSE Class 5, 8, 10 and 12 exams postponed Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has postponed the board examinations. Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra said that the class 5, 8, 10 and 12 board examinations have been postponed till further orders.

Earlier, the state government has directed to shut examinations in all schools and colleges. CM Ashok Gehlot issued directions that parent-teacher meetings be stopped and the admission process should do away with the presence of parents and their children. Moreover, private and public libraries are to be shut till March 31.

The University of Rajasthan too deferred all undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) examinations. The varsity will notify the revised dates of the examinations after re-assessment of the situations.

“Due to coronavirus, the varsity has postponed examinations scheduled to be held from March 19 (11 am) to March 31. The varsity will notify the dates soon, the candidates are advised to visit the website- uniraj.ac.in,” read the varsity notification.

This week, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have postponed the class 10, 12 board examinations scheduled till March 31. Madhya Pradesh Board Exams, Paper Evaluation Postponed Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

Keeping the emerging coronavirus outbreak in view, the MPBSE Board examinations have been postponed.

Keeping the emerging coronavirus outbreak in view, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has postponed all the examinations scheduled in the state till March 31. The MPBSE board has also suspended the paper evaluation process scheduled to begin from March 22. The Board said the new dates for both the examinations and evaluation process will be announced later.

The Board said the decision has been taken keeping in view of the coronavirus outbreak and its health effects on the students and teachers.

The final examinations that started from March 2 have been postponed midway from tomorrow, MPBSE chairperson Saleena Singh said.

MP Board papers which began on March 2 was scheduled to conclude on March 31; Class 10 exams were to be held till March 27 and class 12 exams till March 31.

This year, according to reports, over 19 lakh students had registered for the MPBSE board examinations.

The examinations were being held in the morning session, from 9 am to 12 pm.

CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education, yesterday, in an unprecedented but not surprising move, cancelled all board exams which were scheduled between March 19 and March 31. The board examinations have been cancelled for both classes 10 and 12. Not only board exams, but the Ministry of Human Resource Development asked all schools, universities, and other institutes to cancel all scheduled exams and entrance exams till March 31.

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has also cancelled the board examinations for class 12 and class 10 students scheduled between March 19 and March 31. The revised dates for conduct of remaining papers will be announced by the Council later.

Following the directive from the government, National Testing Agency (NTA) which had scheduled JEE Main exams in April, has also postponed the engineering entrance exam. The JEE Main exams were scheduled on April 5, 7, 9, and 11. The new dates for the exam will now be announced on March 31.

The PSEB has become the fifth major board to postpone the Board exams in two days after CBSE, CISCE, RBSE and MPBSE.

As part of the precautionary measures to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, Punjab today announced the postponement of the state education board's examinations of classes 10 and 12 till March 31. The decision to put on hold the Punjab State Education Board or PSEB exam has been take in line with the central educational boards' measure, reported Press Trust of India. The PSEB has become the fifth major board to postpone the Board exams in two days after CBSE, CISCE, RBSE and MPBSE.

The Punjab Board exams for Class 12 students, which began on March 3, 2020 with General Punjabi, and History and Culture of Punjab paper, were scheduled to conclude on April 3.

As precautionary measures, the Amarinder Singh government in Punjab will also stop all public transport across the state from midnight, Buses, auto-rickshaws and tempos will not be allowed to ply in the state from Friday. It was decided to limit public gathering to 20 people and shut wedding halls, hotels and restaurants, except home delivery services and takeaways across the state.

Earlier in the day, Govind Singh Dotasra, Minister for Education, Rajasthan, said in a statement that the Class 10, 12, 5 and 8 board exams conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or RBSE have been put on hold till further orders.

Before this, the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Board has also postponed the state board examinations scheduled till March 31.

A 70-year-old man who returned from Germany via Italy a fortnight ago and died in hospital after severe chest pain, was found to be positive for novel coronavirus, senior officials said.

Local Bodies minister Brahm Mohindra said the public dealing in government offices will also be restricted, reported news agency Press Trust of India. "The government is ready to deal with any eventuality," he was quoted as saying by PTI.

Earlier on March 13, Punjab announced closing of all schools in the state till March 31 to prevent spread of coronavirus.

Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla, however, on Friday said exams would be continued to be conducted according to schedule.

It is to be noted that no student will be allowed to appear for the AP SSC examination 2020 without presenting the hall ticket.

Meanwhile, the AP government on Wednesday has announced that all the educational institutions will remain closed from March 19, 2020. Thousands of schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions will be closed till the government makes a further announcement in this regard.
