Karnataka Board 10th Exams 2021 Update : Class 10 Time Table Released Exam begin from June 14

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has also provided the students with the option of raising objections against the SSLC Class 10 time-table within February 26, 2021.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has released the SSLC, or Class 10, exam time-table for the state board exams. The Secondary School Leaving Certificate exams (SSLC exams) will begin from June 14, 2021 and will be held in pen-and-paper mode. The Class 10 Karnataka board SSLC examinations will continue till June 25, 2021.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has also provided the students with the option of raising objections against the SSLC Class 10 time-table. Students who wish to raise objections regarding the tentative SSLC time table can send it to the Director (Exams), Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, 6th Cross. Malleswaram, Bengaluru -560003 within February 26, 2021.

While most of the papers including first languages and core subjects will be held for a duration of three hours, second language papers and third language papers will be held for two hours and 45 minutes duration. The students will be provided with an additional 15 minutes time to read the question papers. As per the Karnataka SSLC exams time-table, differently-abled students will get an extra one hour time to complete the paper.

The board examinations in all the states have undergone several changes due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. Many education boards including CBSE and other state boards have also reduced the syllabus for the upcoming board exams as a one-time measure considering the hardships the students have been facing during the pandemic. States including Assam, Bihar, Odisha and Maharashtra have also released the upcoming 2021 board exam schedules.

 

CGBSE Board Exam 2021 Update : Chhattisgarh CGBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exams Held from April 15

The Chhattisgarh Board Of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced the dates of class 10, 12 exams 2021. The secondary (class 10) exam will be held from April 15 to May 1, while the senior secondary (class 12) exams will be conducted from May 3 to 24.

The class 10 and 12 exams are scheduled to be conducted in physical mode maintaining the mandatory COVID-19 guidelines. Students will have to wear face masks, carry hand sanitisers. Without these, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

The practical exam is scheduled to be conducted from February 10 to March 10 at various shifts every day. The exams for classes 9, 11 will be held at their individual centres, as per CGBSE.

The board released the results for class 10 and 12 on June 23. The overall passing percentage for the class 10 results was recorded at 73.62 and 78.59 per cent for class 12.

The Maharashtra board has reduced the syllabus by 25 percent for students appearing in the board exams 2021. Maharashtra Secondary School Certificate (SSC or Class 10) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC or Class 12) board exam dates 2021 have been announced by State School Education Minister.

The written exams of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) Class 12 will be held from April 23 to May 29, 2021.

Maharashtra HSC Class 10 exams will be held from April 29 to May 31. "Written exams of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class X will be held from April 29, 2021, to May 31, 2021. Results are expected to be announced in the last week of August 2021. All exams would be conducted in compliance with the COVID-19 norms," Ms Gaikwad tweeted. The results would be declared in July for Class 10 and August for Class 12.

Ms Gaikwad informed that the board practical exams for Class 12 will be held between April 1 and 22 and for Maharashtra Class 10 between April 9 and 28. "The written exams for Class 12 will be held between April 23 and May 29, and for Class 10 between April 29 and May 31. We are trying to declare the results of Classes 12 and 10 by July-end and August-end, respectively," the minister said.

Maharashtra Syllabus Reduced

The Maharashtra board has reduced the syllabus by 25 per cent for students appearing in the board exams 2021. Schools and junior colleges for Classes 9 to 12 had reopened in parts of the state earlier this month based on the COVID-19 situation in respective areas.

 

Himachal Board Exam 2021 Update : HPBOSE Releases Provisional Datesheets for 5th, 8th, 9th, 11th

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has released the tentative exam dates for classes 5, 8, 9, and 11. According to HPBOSE, the exams will be held in March, the class 11 exam will commence from March 16, class 8 exam from March 20, class 9 exam from March 22, and class 5 from April 1. The board earlier released the tentative date sheets for classes 10 and 12, the senior secondary exam will be held from May 4, while secondary from May 5. The exams will be held both in morning shift (9:45 am to 1 pm), and the evening shift from 1:45 pm to 5 pm.

The board exams will be held on a curtailed syllabus. The HPBoSE had reduced the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 by 30 percent.

The students have to appear in the exams following COVID-19 guidelines, wearing face masks, carrying hand sanitizers, without it, the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exams.

The above schedule is provisional in nature, the board will soon release the dates for the board, class-wise exams.

 

Punjab Board Exam 2021 Update : Punjab Board 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th Date Sheets 2021 Released

Even as the other boards including CBSE have announced to postpone the boards this year due to the loss of instructional hours as a consequence of shutting down of physical schools due to the pandemic, the PSEB will hold its exams in March-April.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will hold its annual board examination in March-April even as the other boards including CBSE have announced to postpone the exams this year due to the loss of instructional hours as a consequence of shutting down of physical schools due to the pandemic. The PSEB class 12 exams will be held from March 22 to April 27 and class 10 from April 9 to May 1.

Punjab Board will conduct class 5 exams from March 16 to 23. The exams will be held from 9 am to 12:15 pm. Practical exams for class 5 will be held from March 24 to 27 in the respective schools. For class 8 as well, the practical exams will be held from April 8 to 14. These exams will be held amid COVID precautions, the board said in its official notice.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) on Tuesday released the provisional datesheet of Class 10 and Class 12 annual exams.

The board has also invited suggestions and objections regarding the provisional datesheet from the students and parents which can be can be submitted through the board’s official email-ID hpbose2011@gmail.com till February 10.

As per the tentative schedule the Class 10 exams, both regular and State Open School, will start on May 5 and end on May 20.

Similarly, the Class 12 exams will start on May 4 and conclude on May 29.

Class 10 exams will be held in the morning session and Class 12 in the evening. HPBOSE spokesperson Anju Pathak said that the final datesheet will be issued after considering the suggestion and objections.

The principles of state--government schools will have to login using their username and roll number on the official website to procure student admit cards for upcoming Class 10 Bihar board exams from February 17 to 24 and the practical exams from January 20 to 22. They can then distribute the signed hard copy of admit cards to their students. The Class 10 students will have to carry along BSEB Bihar boards admit card to the examination center.

As per the schedule, the board will conduct the Assam HSLC examination from May 11 to June 1, 2021. The examination will be held in pen and paper mode. The DISHA Psychometric Test will be held on June 2, 2021.

The practical examinations are scheduled to be conducted from March 4 to 5, 2021.

 

Karnataka Board Exam 2021 Update : Karnataka 2nd Year PUC Exams in May, SSLC Exams in June

The second-year pre-university (class-12) exams would begin in the second week of May and the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC-class 10) in the first week of June, Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said on Wednesday.

The Education Department has finalised the syllabus for the classes for teaching and learning purposes in view of the exams and its details have been sent to all schools and colleges, the Minister was quoted as saying in an official press statement.

Both class-10 and second year PUC are board exams in the state.

The Minister further said there was no proposal before the government to cut short the syllabus from classes-one to nine as an alternative academic schedule has been finalised.

The evaluation would be held at the school-level for these classes and be based on the students’ learning ability.

After over nine months, schools and pre-university colleges in the state re-opened for students of class-10 and second year PUC on January 1 with strict adherence COVID-19 safety norms.

Students from grades 6-9 are also coming to campuses for Vidyagama programme, which enables continued schooling.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released model question papers for students of Class 10, who would be appearing for board examination this year, while the same for students of Class 12 will be released in a day or two, officials said on Tuesday.

JAC secretary Mahip Kumar Singh said, “Model question papers for students of Class 12, who will appear for examinations this year, are also ready. It will be released in a day or two.”

He said, “The marking pattern shown in the model question papers would be the same in the board examinations. It would help students to prepare accordingly.”

As per the first set of model question papers for Class 10, which was also uploaded on JAC’s website, written examinations of all subjects, excluding science, will be of 90 marks. The rest 10 marks will comprise internal assessment, which is to be given by schools.

The written examinations for Science subject will be of 80 marks, while 10 marks will be for practical and 10 marks for internal assessment.

Thirty percent marks will be for multiple-choice or fill-in-the-blanks-type questions, while 20% for very short answers type questions. Twenty percent each will be for short and long answer type questions, according to the first set of model question paper.

JAC officials said earlier the internal assessment used to be of 20 marks but it was reduced to 10, as schools remained closed since March last year.

Even though the model question papers for intermediate are yet to be released, JAC has declared the marking pattern for their examination.

As per the pattern, written examination of non-practical subjects--Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Economics and Social Science--would be of 100 marks. These papers will have 30 multiple-choice answer type questions, while there will be 10 fill in the blanks type questions of one mark each.

There would be 10 very short answer type questions of two marks each, five short-answer type question of four marks each and four long-answer type questions of five marks each, JAC officials said.

Similarly, written examinations of practical subjects would be of 70 marks, while practicals would be marked out of 30. In such a paper, there would 20 multiple-choice answer type questions, seven very short answer type questions of one mark each, seven very short answer type questions of two marks each, five short answer type questions of three marks each and two long answer type questions of seven marks each.

Earlier on Monday, JAC declared the dates for board examinations of both matriculation and intermediate sections. The examinations for both classes will commence from March 9 and conclude on March 26.

 

Maharashtra Board Exams 2021 Update : Maharashtra SSC (10th) Exams 2021 After May 1, HSC (12th) After April 15

Maharashtra State Board exams are expected to commence after April 15 for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) while the SSC students are likely to take the examination after May 1, 2021. Sharing the information, Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad took to Twitter and shared the dates for the board exams as she said 'a decision will be taken soon.’

“We are considering holding HSC exams after April 15 and SSC exams after May 1. The state is consulting health officials on the possibility of reopening schools for standard 5th to 8th. A decision will soon be taken,” Varsha Gaikwad said.

Every year, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) releases the Maharashtra SSC, HSC Board exam 2021 date sheet on the official website, however, this year the process has been delayed in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to this, Ms Gaikwad also said that the discussions are ongoing to consider the possibility of reopening schools for the students of Classes 5 to 8.
